I too grow weary of the name calling. We are all Americans first. And Democrats and Republicans second. I voted for President Bush (twice) and consider myself a Republican. But I don’t think less of Democrats. The two party system has served us well. And we have had great representatives from both parties.

I have found that the last resort of the mean-spirited partisans on either side is to compare their political opponents to the Nazis. Things like :

“Not surprisingly, the Republicans are better at playing the jack-boot role.”
